The Acapulco chair is named after the legendary Pacific resort in Mexico, Acapulco. Its frame is solid steel with matte power coating and UV filtered PVC cord, durable for outdoor use. The PVC cord is very durable but if it should happen that is damage , then we send it back free of charge and we replace with a new one . This way the broken cord is being recycled by turning it into new PVC cord for new chairs. The chair is handmade manufactured in a tough Mexico City neighborhood. Along with high unemployment,drugs and violence are a way of life.The OK Design's success has allowed to move troubled young adults off the streets and into well paying jobs. Collaborating with their Mexican manufacturer have established a clean and healthy environment where workers earn three times minimum wage. It is ensured that men and women are paid equally and that no one is asked to work excessively long hours. In order to create the safest working conditions it has been developed a special PVC for the plastic cord in the Acapulco chair lines, free of phthalates and heavy metals which are hazardous substances used by other manufacturing firms.
